Hey everyone! I can’t believe it’s Wednesday already! I’ve been working crazy hours this week, so most of my running has been on the treadmill after it gets dark out. Boo. I’ll be out of work early the next two days though, and I’m so looking forward to running outside again! I should even be able to run in new areas since my work is taking me to different parts of the city. Now for your Wednesday Wisdom: I sometimes get bored of running on the same trails all the time, so I was excited to see this list on Greatist. I know sometimes we runners get stuck in our ways, but if you ever get bored this list has great ideas on how to mix it up! I’ve been thinking about trying #5 and #9 for a while!
Next topic: What I’m eating this week! I just went to the store and have two new loves:
Edy’s Slow Churned Pumpkin Ice Cream with mini chocolate chips. Under 150 calories depending on how heavy you go on the chocolate! It’s got nothing on PA dutch homemade pumpkin ice cream, but it’ll do until I can get out to Lancaster again.
Utz Whole Wheat Cinnamon Stick Pretzels! These taste like a crunchy, healthier version of Auntie Anne’s cinnamon sugar pretzel. I am in looooove. They’re only 12 calories per stick, so I may be eating these as my afternoon snack from now on!
And for what I’m not eating: I haven’t had a donut or a milkshake at all this month! Yay for the new yummy snacks that I’m falling in love with! I’d have to eat 70 of those cinnamon pretzel sticks to equal the calories in one PB oreo shake from Sonic!
And finally: On Wednesdays we wear yellow! And by “we”, I mean the amazing girls running for Team Scoot A Doot in the Million Mile Challenge for Alex’s Lemonade Stand!
My yellow today comes from my super comfy Minnetonka moccasins. I’m obsessed with mocs in the fall! My total miles for Team Scoot A Doot this week (starting Sunday) so far are 5, which brings me to 15 miles total! I’m hoping I can get up to 25 by the end of the month! What awesome new foods are you eating this week? How do you mix up your running routines when you get bored? And does anyone else love moccasins in the fall?
